RTN046: Ra Saite - "You are Sound"
Ra Saite compiled his works of the last 3 years into a new record- You are Sound. His sounds seem more diverse then on make a plan, but also more focused. Some songs are hard to grasp, noisy, fast and spherical, while others hold his unique footprint, wrapping sweet melodies around each other. You are Sound is a statement a compliment to the connoisseur of music, as you are a sound person and you are are the sound that you are listening to. So listen carefully.

RTN044: CYAN KID & ALLIE "Early Demos"
Cyan Kid & Allie's "Early Demos", a collection of early collaborations and remixes of their solo songs.
Words from Allie:
"It is a collection of songs that date back to 2007, the transition period of our band Team17, which was my brother Cyan kid, Allie and Lutz OK, and the albums we made solo and with other bands since then. In this time, my brother and I worked in several recording sessions in the city of Braunschweig on a LOT of songs at once but somehow got stuck, couldn't agree on the final touches and so we didnt finish one of them. Eventually we ran out of ambition in the late summer of 2008 and since then the songs were lying around on my brother's harddrive and in the corner of our minds.
To just forget about them was something I considered, but all the ideas and work still meant a lot to us. So I am pretty happy and thankful that Cyan kid found the time and energy to start working on them again this year, especially because I did not.
Now they are released and still between demo and song, because they only could have been finished 3 years ago and we missed that chance. But they are put in a pretty dress that they deserve and need to represent all the memories from an important time of music making in our lives.
Florian"

RTN042: Out from the Source Remixes

In January 2010 Ra Saite released his first album "Make a Plan". His second album is so close- you can see the water shaking as if the TRex is coming.
With Make a plan, ra spread one of his earliest song "Out from the source" to the label mates and other friends. It literally the source for them, to be shaped however they wanted. The outcome is diverse a sweet remix collection

RA SAITE "Make Zischi" Video & Rmx Video
Just after the release of Ra Saite's Make A Plan Album we are very proud that we can show you some video footage for it made by the Ra himself. The Song is Make Zischi and can be found on release Make a Plan [RTN#027]. Think the video as the year 2010 way of dance instructions. 2010 is the real 2000, at least with us…
This one's a fast video response/remix of Ra Saite's Make Zischi video done by our Der nicht so witzige Typ . We hope you like it! (A lot of activity at Ramin Ton right now. Excuse us, we don't know where it is coming from, too.)

RTN027: RA SAITE "Make A Plan"
Right before year's end on this monday December 28th Ramin Ton releases 2 debut albums: Cyan Kid's Dream Baby and Ra Saite's Make A Plan:
Ra Saite: ‹Make A Plan› [16 track lp]
Better than Butter. Ra Saite’s first album has been growling on the undercurrent for a while now. From colorful ambient soundscapes, crackling with audio noise, to stomping digital freakouts designed to burn the brainwaves, Ra punctuates the generally blurred ideas within modern sound textures with a contorted pop sensibility that keeps you coming back for more and more... a very sexy and versatile record.

SOLARIUM, The 2nd Invasion!

What the fuck! SOLARIUM has gathered again! After 2 years of contemplation they are still insane, they are still brilliant, presenting a session of 4 songs, which later that night led to the CITIZEN GOLF hit "Zeelax". After hard work they produced this, following their hard rules: After every Solarium session one member is dismissed (and eaten up). Sorry Gonzilla!

Personnel June 2009:
Terpentina Oehlen / Dr. S / Cyan Kid
Solarium - Good Bye Solarium
Solarium - Scheide Schneide
Solarium - Going On A Party Alone
Solarium - Body Index
Not to forget: The first session, early 2007, released now on Ramin Ton:

RTN022 : Oh Ne "Netzeband Glitzerwelt"

Oh Ne: ‹Netzeband Glitzerwelt› [13 track lp]
It’s Oh Ne. And it’s an album about the fall of an utopian projection. German Rockmusic lived from the projection of the US A as its holy place. Since the beginnings of German Rockmusic in the 60’s this has been the face of its motivation,
from shallow bands to great bands like Can, although there were Bands that clearly went away from this (Kraftwerk for example), it remained an essential part in German
music until today. Full of clichés this projection has been expressed and has become itself part of German culture. But since there is no “American Dream” anymore these clichés that have expressed themselves in styles began to fade. Netzeband Glitzerwelt
lives out these clichés again from today’s point of view. Not a concept album, but like a natural happening this record is. Although none of these thoughts were made before the record was finished, although there was no planing in the song names, no special interest in American culture nor German Rockmusic, you will find these ideas confronting when listening to the record. Oh Ne see this album as an important point in their work and, surprised by themselves, find it to be important for German Rockmusic, an album that no one demanded, but which evolved like there was a need.

"Truly one of my favorite independent bands out there, Oh Ne are a German group (also part of the music blog RAMIN TON) that have newly released the album Netzeband Glitzerwelt, which combines some tracks from their previous output. This is, seriously, one of the best, most creative albums that I've heard in 2009, with its blend, and transcendence, of genres like minimal synth, chip-tune, space rock, and prog rock. Recommended: "Eine Millionen Dollar in Senf" and "Islandia 2"." - afutureinnoise.com

Zeelax (5µg)

YOU
CAN T
GET
PUSSY
ON THE FIRST DAY of last year there was born a new band "CITIZEN GOLF". They sucked. Because they had no songs (yet nice outfits=imagine the nicest of all golf outfits + unplugged unneccessary instruments to promote their absent musical skills + the finest of all fake smiles!!) Yes, right then they were already a great band (like Grizzly Bear maybe or Radiohead or Animal Collective or any of those urban hippy suckers). BUT THE NOWEST NOW! they learned how to play the play button and recorded their highly rated charthit "ZEELAX". All for your pleasure. Soak it up in your from hippy hair enclosed ears and spurt the evidence of true love over your girlfriends formidable face. Ra Saite vs. Bruce Springsteen
When Mr. Bruce Springsteen, a Ramin Ton fan since day one, spontaneously showed up at Madame Priess last week, Ra Saite mixed an older song in the smooth beat Bruce played and Marocco tried to figure out the synth line of Springsteens Oscar-winning-hit "Streets of Philadelphia". Enjoy!
