RTN022 : Oh Ne "Netzeband Glitzerwelt"

Oh Ne: ‹Netzeband Glitzerwelt› [13 track lp]

It’s Oh Ne. And it’s an album about the fall of an utopian projection. German Rockmusic lived from the projection of the US A as its holy place. Since the beginnings of German Rockmusic in the 60’s this has been the face of its motivation,
from shallow bands to great bands like Can, although there were Bands that clearly went away from this (Kraftwerk for example), it remained an essential part in German
music until today. Full of clichés this projection has been expressed and has become itself part of German culture. But since there is no “American Dream” anymore these clichés that have expressed themselves in styles began to fade. Netzeband Glitzerwelt
lives out these clichés again from today’s point of view. Not a concept album, but like a natural happening this record is. Although none of these thoughts were made before the record was finished, although there was no planing in the song names, no special interest in American culture nor German Rockmusic, you will find these ideas confronting when listening to the record. Oh Ne see this album as an important point in their work and, surprised by themselves, find it to be important for German Rockmusic, an album that no one demanded, but which evolved like there was a need.

"Truly one of my favorite independent bands out there, Oh Ne are a German group (also part of the music blog RAMIN TON) that have newly released the album Netzeband Glitzerwelt, which combines some tracks from their previous output. This is, seriously, one of the best, most creative albums that I've heard in 2009, with its blend, and transcendence, of genres like minimal synth, chip-tune, space rock, and prog rock. Recommended: "Eine Millionen Dollar in Senf" and "Islandia 2"." - afutureinnoise.com

cause we are very very interessted what people think of our music and but rarely someone comments it we offensively asked some music expercts of the world wide web:

City bash:

this song bored me if im honest. it had too many random sounds, the vocals were poor and the lyrics were just as bad. this wasnt music

Not too much to like about this song. Music is ameteur and the vocals can become annoying very quickly

A bit of polishing could create a decent tune here. Original in its ideas and with a definate message to say, sounding near Neil Young
vocally and somewhere near Yazoo in its slightly stunted music. It certainly has psycedellic potential with its droning undertones and
quickfire melodies.

Der Schmetterling und sein Buchhalter:

wow it sounded like one of them toy keyboards you get for kids, where just hit a key and it plays random bits of music, then you just
kept hitting key after key.

Creative and original but the result is more like the musical equivalent of an epileptic fit. Just one plain and bland sound which isn't
even pleasnt. No structure or aim to it

Such a subtle track you would hardly notice it was there. Remeniscent of 'Popcorn'. Quite delicately put together and reveals a more
celestial feel in the second movement. Thematically dark and quite sinister ambient music.

Islandia 2:

The music in this track almost sounded like industiral machinery and I don't really need to point that that's not good do I? This track
just came across as pointless and as nothing more than random nosies strung together. The chances of the track being commercially
viable are very low indeed.

I adore this. It sounds like robots fighting! In a good way! I love how unique this song is. It is everything an experimental
instrumental song should be. It is confident and uncompromising, and utterly special. I want to hear more.

This just sounds like a real mish mash of beats and tones. There's no control to it and it's basicly a complete waste of time!

Wacky music! Sounds like some circus on drugs, but with a drunk DJ participating.Harmonies are very well chosen. The sound is
good, and well recorded. Intriguing. Not very commercial though :)

Ronos:

Right now, i feel like im at my favorite club, dancing my heart out. I love the beat of this, i feel almost as if im dreaming. I can
definately live like this.

Bad song! Sounds like some kids messing around on keyboards and organs. Really not a good listen very depressing. Cannot see this track selling at all.

Miami Auslegeware:

there is not altot to this track, apart from a very random instrumental and a lack luster of vocals! Shocking in a word.

nothing interesting in this song really, well actually drums arent that bad, bit overall not good.

Is it meant to sound this messed up? If so why. Very odd. Have no idea what I'm meant to be focusing on to be honest. Vocals at
1.00 made me jump!!! I'm on edge, but I think in a good way. Vocals were very Brian Molko (placebo). Song still very confusing
though. I think I like it though. Music evens out.

Skeletor tanze:

Song is very bad, very annoying sounds, awful music, can't make it, very annoying and hard to listen, it is a disaster, it is simply the
worst

Oh my God my ears are bleeding! This was terrible. Just one big ball of noise which drove me crazy.Hated this track with a passion as
it gave me a headache, had npo structure to it or defined sound

This track was very unique, though a little annoying especially at the beginning. The intro is definitely too long.I was waiting for a
beat to kick in but it never did, and the recording is awful, i had to check if it was my speakers braking.

The sound sounds painful… and like an engraver at points. It’s very hard to listen to - but very interesting. At some points I actually got goosebumps. It is an uncomfortable listening experience
but it’s hard to stop listening to. I’m not sure of how this song could possibly be improved, it’s hard when I’ve not heard anything like this before. I love the pacing of
the song and how the rhythm changes throughout. I think it’s a great piece. It never gets too repetitive and is never boring.

Inform the police:

No synchronization, terrible beat, very crowded. It's exhausting and incomprehensible. It's a song that makes you want to kill
yourself.

A poor track, the music was very basic and had no real flow or structure, the sound quality was quite bad and the vocals were really
strange and hard to listen to.

Excellent grinding noise terror whilst still maintaining a musical direction where dirty analogue synths make the rules. This would be
well worth seeing live. Vocal snippets that start off sounding a bit like Mark E Smith suddenly and somehow mutate into Syd Barrett.
Short, to the point, and most importantly fairly original.

is this track a joke? its awful, horrible sonds, makes your head and eyes squint to stop a headahce, just noisy tones, never want to
listen to again

Very very intriguing! Interesting use of sounds, really powerful and jumps right out of the speakers. So good to hear experimenting,
cross genre music, and really like the filter on the voice, and the lyrics. This track really takes you somewhere, leaves you with
questions, and leaves me wanting to hear more

Ylyon Bab:

weird sounding, 80s alien space age sounds to the sound created on a keyboard or synthesiser. scary sounding voice, would never
want to hear again.

I thought this song was really cool. Usually im not really into just electronic lyricless songs, but as i was listening the song just took
me somewhere out of this world. Its one of those songs that you can just sit and think to.

Whole thing is too loud and beat is irritating Inroduction for the song is bad too and the voice does not fit in at all. Tempo and beat
is not smooth.

The music of the tune is not so much exciting but yes I loved the variety of tune used here which is really amazing, great work by the
dream beaters .Loved the tune in total.very appreciable that the tune is so much long .
